A Star for Art: an exhibition and a limited edition with CESVI
The night is starry this Christmas 2024. Dada Arrigoni celebrates Pop Art and, for the holidays, brings the art of Frank Denota to Italy for the first time , to Bergamo, in the heart of Città Alta: the works of the Italian-American artist , one of the greatest exponents of Pop Graffiti, famous for always celebrating Made in Italy, will be exhibited in the ancient rooms of the Lalimentari restaurant , in Piazza Vecchia in Bergamo, a special showcase of artists such as Mario Donizetti, Laura Malattia, Julian T and Soile Yli-Mäyry, but also emerging names on the Italian and international art scene.
More than twenty works, spanning several of Denota's artistic periods, will be on display from November 28 to January 28, 2025: the exhibition "A Star for Art" is sponsored by the Municipality of Bergamo and the Province of Bergamo.
In Piazza Vecchia, oil paintings and silkscreen prints will celebrate Italianness. At the center is the Happy Frog, an extraordinary symbol of design, an iconic ring by Dada Arrigoni. For this occasion, she will exhibit the limited edition "Notte Stellata," a jewel created exclusively by the designer for the city of Bergamo.
The project has a charitable value that will continue throughout the exhibition period: 15% of the proceeds from the sales of the paintings on display will be donated to a CESVI project, as will 10% of the sales of Happy Frog Starry Night made throughout the Christmas period, at the Maison in Bergamo and online at dadaarrigoni.com.
CESVI's social project, for which Dada Arrigoni is the new ambassador, has already been identified: proceeds will go to the Houses of Smiles in Italy, a program that provides a concrete response to the immediate needs of vulnerable families and children for a better future.
