DIY repairs are not recommended, especially when dealing with precious stones or leather. Even restoring surface finishes such as rhodium plating or burnishing requires professional intervention.
We also recommend careful handling of the jewel's stones: even involuntary impacts could damage or break them, as could thermal shocks.
