Three questions to Dada
A special meeting, a moment dedicated to the history of the maison with its creator.
Three questions to Dada Arrigoni, on a journey of design and creativity. Of resourcefulness and ideas which, as Dada Arrigoni always says, "arrive suddenly".
What was your first piece of jewelery created?
«It was 1985 and I had a fire opal of incredible beauty, with an orange color that had completely bewitched me. I created a chevalier with the stone in the center, surrounded by diamonds. It was sold immediately, it was a shock: I was in love with it."
Three adjectives to describe a Dada Arrigoni jewel.
«Contemporary, timeless and absolutely chic. Which identifies the woman. My jewels always respond to the "three Fs of design": form, function and functionality."
Christmas is approaching, what would you give a woman?
«A Dada Arrigoni jewel obviously. Very difficult to choose between our collections, but I would certainly opt for what I consider "my uniform". Definitely the Elika chain, in rose gold, to be worn as a choker necklace but also as a lace. It is a modern jewel, to be experienced in everyday life, precious and elegant. In combination I would choose a rock mood with the leather bracelet and diamond clasp from the Glamor collection: a contemporary cuff, which expresses all my philosophy, that of a woman always free to express herself with a unique, never banal style. For those who opt for the ring, I would choose an enveloping and precious jewel from the Ivy collection. And unconventional: as a phalanx, ring finger or index finger, they are worn together, playing with the various shapes and color versions . But not only that: a Happy Frog is inevitable, the perfect auspicious sign. Precious and innovative, one color does not ignore the other."
